Research and Coaching Interests

Football and Data Science

Football requires not only technique, physical ability, and tactics, but also observation, decision-making, cooperation, and persistence.
Matches and training sessions contain a wide range of information, including player movement, decision-making, positioning, relationships among players, and transitions between attack and defense.

By applying image analysis, location estimation, multi-object tracking, statistical analysis, and machine learning, he aims to visualize such information and organize it into forms that can be used in practical coaching and team activities.

Student-Led Team Activities

At the Tokushima University Football Club, he values the process in which students identify issues by themselves, share them with teammates, and work together toward improvement.
As an advisor, he supports students in managing the team independently while improving both competitive performance and personal growth.

Connecting Playing Experience, Coaching Qualifications, and Research

He aims to contribute to university football by combining his own football playing experience, JFA official coaching qualification, and research experience in sports data analytics.
In particular, he works to support each player in expanding their own potential by applying knowledge from AI and data science.

Activity Policy

The Tokushima University Football Club values students’ ability to think, make decisions, and act independently.
The club aims not only to pursue victory as a competitive sports team, but also to provide a place where students can grow together with their teammates during university life.

The main activity policies are as follows:

Message

Through activities at the Tokushima University Football Club, I hope students will gain experiences that lead not only to improved performance, but also to personal growth.

Football is a sport in which players think together with teammates, take on challenges, learn from failure, and stand up again.
I will support the team so that university football becomes an opportunity for each student to grow significantly, both as a player and as a person.

By also making use of knowledge from data science and AI, I will support team activities so that each player can expand their own potential.
